For some time, many of my friends and colleagues have asked me if I had a blog, why didn’t I have a blog, would I every consider starting a blog, etc… For me, it wasn’t about interest, I’ve been an avid blog reader for quite some time (Google Reader is what I use, more in a future post). It was more about time and the investment required to not only start a blog and but to find the time to stay committed to continuing it as well. I came to the conclusion that things change and nothing is guaranteed, so why not start one and see where it goes…
Anyway, now that I’ve started the blog, the question is how quickly do others notice that it is out here. What is the saying? “Most blogs have a readership of one”, witty. So, I’m going to do a little social experiment to see when people I know notice that I’ve started Correlate. Here are the basic ground rules:
- I will not tell colleagues about it unless asked.
- I will only use social means of promoting it, trackbacks, pings, tagging, etc
- I will not promote it explicitly on any of my colleagues’ blogs (i.e. link in their comments back to Correlate)
- Once the first collegue notices, the experiment will end.
So, we’ll see what happens just for fun and see how long it takes. I’ll let you know.
