Twitter, the layman’s explanation

Best layman explanation that I have seen regarding Twitter yet. Found it via Fred Wilson on Delicious.

Twitter in Plain English from leelefever on Vimeo.

Since demonstrating the value of Twitter to a number of colleagues a few weeks back, I have seen more and more people I know entering the world of Twitter. Some remain skeptical but are at least giving it a try. This is exactly where I was when I first questioned its value and application (and quickly learned how valuable Twitter could be).

Thanks for sharing the vid. I created a Twitter account but I'm a boring guy and have no friends :-(

I'm a dork, even my 8 month old son thinks so, so I'd love to use it for marketing my business.

That del.icio.us is easier to find cool links on than checking your work email I suppose. But we're all good now. You commented on my blog which catapulted your 'net cred.

Thanks @jkennett, I mean Jeff. :) You hit on a balance that I'm finding hard to calibrate. Email, for me at least, is something that I do incrementally throughout the day and I do not hit the low priority ones often based on rules etc. Much of my “read” time is spent in the flow of RSS, Friendfeed and Twitter which is probably why I missed it.

Glad my 'net cred is back to balance. I hate operating in the red! :)

Thanks for sharing the video. I'm still skeptical of Twitter maybe because I am new to it so your vid explained some stuff.
